Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of college or technical school equivalent.
  • Knowledge of PLC’s and programming.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations with customer in a positive manner.
  • Must demonstrate acceptable judgment and decision skills.
  • Good communication skills in both verbal and written required.
  • Self-motivated individual that can work well with others or with little or no supervision required o
  • Professional appearance required.
  • Must be detail oriented and reliable to maintain customer equipment.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Must have a personnel credit card with a least 5,000 dollar limit.
  • Requires availability for travel on short notice.
  • Extensive travel required up to 80%, especially during specific times of the year; some international travel may be required.
  • Long working hours may be required during business peaks.
  • May require working weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in varies work conditions such as extreme temperatures, hot and cold.
  • Must be able to work safely around automated equipment with little to no supervision while following all company and customer safety policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed electrician preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and estimate customers strapping equipment for repair or installation.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair of mechanical functions and assemblies.
  • Troubleshoot and repair of electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic system.
  • Retro fit competitors equipment with Samuel Strapping equipment.
  • Attendance of trade shows.
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
  • Use a laptop, cell phone and other devices normally used in conducting business via remote access in various geographic settings.
