About The Position

The Technician - Quality Assurance will be responsible for testing our finished product as well as specific packaging attributes as described by our Parent Company to ensure that our finished products meet required specifications. Your day will involve performing beverage attribute testing, package attribute testing, and finished product attributes verification. You will also be involved in micro sample collection and testing, syrup testing, lab equipment calibrations, and maintaining lab housekeeping. Additionally, you will be responsible for data entry from product testing and maintaining lab testing equipment supplies.

Requirements

  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • High school diploma or GED; or 6+ months related experience and/or training
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
  • In depth knowledge of Laboratory Data Management System (LDMS) preferred
  • Effective math skills
  • Effective attention to detail, analytical, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with all functional team members
  • Ability to be self-motivated and show initiative
  • Effective time management and organizational skills needed

Responsibilities

  • Perform beverage attribute testing to include: Brix, Assay, CO2, Net Contents, pH and Taste & Odor
  • Perform package attribute testing to include: Closure Removal Torques, Can Lid Application, and Visual Appearance
  • Perform finished product attributes verification such as Correct Bottle/Can, Correct Closure/Lid, Correct Label, Correct Production Date Code
  • Perform Micro sample collection and testing
  • Perform Syrup testing such as Brix, Assay, pH using UPLC or HPLC unit
  • Perform lab equipment calibrations and/or verifications as needed
  • Perform water treatment duties as described by the Quality Manager
  • Participate in the Sensory Program where applicable
  • Data entry from product testing in Laboratory Data Management System (LDMS)
  • Assist in writing standard operating procedures (SOP's)
  • Perform daily lab housekeeping to include good manufacturing practices (GMP)
  • Maintain lab testing equipment supplies including ordering and inventory control
  • Responsible for receiving and testing ingredients
  • Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management
