About The Position

The Molding Technician sets up and operates the injection molding machines in order to shape plastics. This position is responsible for installing tools and adjusting machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. This position also requires the ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance on injection molding equipment. This position does not typically require exercising independent judgment to perform the responsibilities described herein. Requirements

High School degree, GED, or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years in injection molding
Understand and follow basic verbal and/or written instructions.
Ability to pay close attention to detail.
Must possess basic keyboarding skills and understanding of Microsoft Office products, and the ability to use email.
Meet and maintain high attendance standards.
Work well within a team and maintain pace while ensuring high quality standards. Assist other team members, as needed, to ensure customer satisfaction.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written instruction.

Responsibilities

Responsible for installing and switching out tools on the injection molding machines.
Requires an understanding of the mechanics of the machines in order to accurately program a variety of plastic products.
Must have sufficient knowledge to perform basic maintenance and repairs on all molding machines.
Adjust process as needed to improve quality issues or to improve cycle rates.
Ensure that waste and downtime is kept at a minimum.
Adhere to all company safety standards.
