Technician Medical Surgical (MA) - OB/GYN- Westchester County Full Time -Days
About The Position
Assists with diagnostic procedures using aseptic principles in creating and maintaining a sterile field during procedures. Uses technical skills regarding positioning, wound care, and dressings. Prepares, collects and arranges for disposition of specimens; and transports patients. Maintains stock items for examination and blood drawing rooms, forms used by clinical staff, etc. Notifies appropriate others to order depleted stock. Maintains a safe, sanitary and therapeutic environment for patient care; assists in the cleaning and maintenance of technical equipment used in patient care and utility room; reports equipment requiring repairs to appropriate others. May answer telephones and issue appointments as needed. Performs other job-related duties as required. For cross-coverage, you will be expected to cover other practices as needed. This is a full-time day position, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (with a potential Saturday) schedule may vary, overtime as approved by the department. Must be flexible and will be expected to provide coverage across other Westchester Medical Group locations as needed. Primary Locations include: 141 S. Central Ave. Suite 205 Hartsdale, NY 2510 Westchester Ave, Bronx, NY (Off of the Hutchinson River Parkway) 984 N. Broadway, 3rd Floor Ste. 300, Yonkers, NY
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant Certification
- One or more years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge Of Authorizations.
- Bilingual - Spanish
- Epic experience
- Previous work in an OB/GYN clinic
