About The Position

Novares is seeking a Technician – Machine Setter to join our Manufacturing team on 3rd Shift. In this role, you will ensure machines operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. You’ll play a key part in production changeovers, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

High School Diploma (required)
Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of injection molding
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and overhead cranes
Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills and adaptability to change.
Understanding and support of company standards and procedures.
Flexibility and ability to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

Prepare tooling for quick and accurate changeovers and review production plans
Perform machine setup, adjustments, and basic maintenance following safety standards
Launch production with minimal start-up rejections and verify machine functionality
Monitor processes, make corrections to maintain quality, and report anomalies.
Provide technical expertise to diagnose and resolve process issues, implement corrective actions, and propose improvement plans.
Offer technical training and support to operators and team members; ensure training effectiveness.
Contribute to process optimization and product development; assist in solving technical and quality challenges.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, Lean manufacturing projects, and equipment upgrades.
Maintain workstation cleanliness and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Analyze breakdowns to prevent failures and ensure equipment remains in good condition.
Update documentation and maintain accurate records of process changes.
