This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of multiple departments and performing additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned or necessary. The role involves setting up and configuring various low voltage systems, such as security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video systems, and network cabling. The technician runs, terminates, and labels cables according to project requirements and industry standards, and performs regular maintenance checks to ensure system functionality and reliability. Key duties include identifying and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtimes, fixing faults or damages, and providing technical support. The position also requires providing training and support to end users on system operation and maintenance, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations while following safety guidelines. Administrative tasks include maintaining accurate and detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs, and generating reports on system performance. The technician evaluates existing systems for upgrades, performs necessary enhancements, and works closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers. Effective communication with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions is crucial. The role demands staying abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, applying expertise to action plans, and supporting business solutions by building relationships with stakeholders. Finally, the individual must model compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
