Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to ten years experience and training; minimum as follows: , L2: Four (4) years of experience.
  • District specific training or equivalent required for all levels.
  • (5) years of Commercial Fire Alarm installation and troubleshooting experience.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License and meet District insurability standards.
  • Denver Fire License - CSA FA2 required.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses, repairs or replaces faulty electronic components in fire alarm control systems
  • Communicates and coordinates with third party testing company, and corrects deficiencies in accordance with Denver Fire Code requirements
  • Conducts fire drill training for on site staff and responds to fire alarms
  • Responds to fire alarms and conducts fire drills
  • Determines products and supplies, coordinates material order and obtains supplies from vendors
  • Prepares and cleans up job site, evaluates safety concerns for staff, students, and self
  • Performs work and cross trains in at least one other trade as an apprentice
  • Assists with snow removal efforts on an on call basis
  • Responds to emergency call outs as needed
  • Perform other duties, as needed
