About The Position

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our client’s team in Vancouver, WA . This role supports the installation, programming, maintenance, and inspection of low-voltage fire alarm and life-safety systems across commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate brings technical expertise, professionalism, and strong customer-facing communication skills. Pay: $40+/hr DOE & certifications Schedule: Monday–Friday, with some on-call duties

Requirements

  • Limited Energy/Low Voltage license in both Oregon and Washington
  • NICET II certification in Fire Alarm Systems
  • Ability to install, connect, and program radio and cellular communicators
  • Experience with IP network-based systems and PC-based programming tools
  • Strong customer-service skills and professional communication
  • Ability to work to precise specifications, codes, and standards of accuracy
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable, punctual work habits

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading fire alarm installation or inspection projects
  • Familiarity with multiple fire alarm manufacturers and platforms
  • Additional NICET certifications or electrical safety credentials

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, program, and maintain fire alarm and low-voltage life-safety systems
  • Perform inspections and testing of fire alarm and sprinkler systems to ensure code compliance
  • Troubleshoot issues with fire alarm circuits, devices, panels, and network-based systems
  • Collaborate with construction teams to support proper installation and system integration
  • Utilize hand tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment to build, repair, and modify system components
  • Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, installations, programming, and regulatory compliance
  • Train clients on fire alarm system operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
  • Assist sales teams with technical insights related to fire alarm upgrades or new installations
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project completion
