About The Position

Developing programs and parameters for production processes including the following: Robotic systems. LASER cutting systems. Misc. fabricating and machining systems. Tooling design and development support Support the validation of manufacturing tools / fixtures Identifying and implementing improvements in the manufacturing processes. Training associates in the correct methods and developing their systems skills.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 8+ year’s of professional experience or 3+ years with an associate’s degree in related field
• Ability to read and create blueprints
• Robotic and PLC programming or other special technical skill required
• Advanced mechanical aptitude required
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, Welding Engineering Technology, Electronics or other related degree program is strongly desired.
• Experience or demonstration of capability can offset degree preference.

Responsibilities

• Implement new equipment and processes to reduce operating costs, improve quality, and increase capacity.
• Responsible for operations and skills outside of established procedures
• Develop knowledge of fabrication / assembly systems and train production personnel.
• Identify areas in which tooling, cleanliness, operation sequences, or forming consistency can be improved in order to increase throughput or product quality.
• Develop process documentation and systems.
• Oversee tooling and suggest and implement modification to improve system productivity.
• Assist in the development of quality systems for new products and processes.
• Assist in daily troubleshooting of robotic or tooling problems.
• Some minimum supervision of Tech I or Tech II may be required.
