Position Title: Technician III – Quality Chemical Lab S00576 Principle Purpose of Position Prepare and inspect test specimens; reject poor-quality samples and request replacements. Operate equipment (abrasive saws, grinders, drill presses) and perform preventive/corrective maintenance. Register and identify samples in LIMS; manage retention/disposal per SOP. Conduct analyses using: C/S combustion instruments N/O fusion instruments Optical Emission Spectrometers (OES) X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometers (XRF) Maintain instruments per SOP and apply statistical/type correction methodologies. Review and correct test data using certified reference materials. Train/support junior technicians on LIMS and lab processes. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years relevant lab experience
  • 1 year as Technician II required
  • High school diploma required
  • Chemical lab testing procedures, LIMS system
  • Equipment: C/S, N/O, OES, XRF
  • Statistical analysis and type correction methodology
  • Problem-solving, customer response, planning, teamwork
  • Ability to operate lab instruments and related software

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree in Chemistry or 2 years in physical science curriculum
