The Technician III, Production Technical Operations – Manufacturing Associate II (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for operating and maintaining highly automated equipment for manufacturing contact lenses. They are responsible for handling complex technical tasks in production operations, including equipment setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You will manage resources, monitor quality, and maintain production records, requiring advanced technical skills and problem‑solving abilities. Specifics include: Handle advanced technical tasks to support production operations and enhance efficiency Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment, including performing preventative and basic electrical/mechanical repairs Coordinate resources and workflows to meet production and quality requirements Support material flow to ensure uninterrupted production Monitor output quality and process data to identify and address deviations or defective products Maintain accurate daily production records and documentation for compliance and performance tracking Review work orders, schedule resources, and ensure alignment with production plans Adhere to all GxP, SOP, and regulatory requirements, ensuring complete and accurate documentation Work with cross‑functional teams to resolve downtime events and implement improvements Participate in root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment, process, or quality issues Evaluate, analyze, and interpret data (KPI’s, SPC) to make effective decisions utilizing the standard work format Plan proper actions to improve performance OEE Supervise equipment for safe performance and promptly address unsafe acts or conditions Monitor equipment for safe performance and address any unsafe acts or conditions in a timely manner Perform floor compliance checks, floor audit readiness, and completion of shift walkthroughs Verify MES downtime entries, SPC data, and lot changes for accuracy and traceability Participate in meetings and production crossovers to maintain effective communication Track weekly production activities and assist in preparing Critical Performance Metrics (CPM) Raise and escalate resource or performance issues as needed to maintain productivity Work effectively in a team environment and communicate issues clearly to leadership or Electro‑Mechanics
