Essential job functions include, but are not limited to: Install, repairs, inspects, and maintains boiler and boiler auxiliaries, combustion and steam turbine/generator auxiliaries, also fuel supply equipment and auxiliaries, if applicable. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on control systems and equipment Operate, monitor, maintain and calibrate environmental and industrial hygiene equipment such as CEMS, noise and gas detection devices, etc. in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical, instrumentation, and control systems specific to power generation facilities. Obtain measurements and readings using electrical and mechanical testing instruments, including digital multi meters, meggers, amp meters, ohm meters, and phase rotation meters. Assist in coordinating maintenance work by providing input to the direct supervisor for scheduling with other sections, contractors, and engineers; support estimating time, materials, and equipment for repairs; review electrical systems and share observations with the supervisor for recommendations on new equipment, repairs, and modifications. Draw and read electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and/or diagrams Operate fork-lifts, aerial lifts, scissor lifts, mobile and overhead cranes and fleet vehicles Actively participates in Root Cause Investigations for Incidents/Accidents, Near Miss, Off Normal, and unusual events. Work collaboratively with other team members efficiently and demonstrate good verbal and communication skills Perform minor mechanical maintenance work including repair of rotating equipment, valves, actuators, piping, etc. Perform minor maintenance work on HVAC and plumbing systems Support plant startup and shutdown activities, and perform emergency response procedures if needed. Requirements

  • Knowledge of Lock out tag out (LOTO) and proficiency in all plant systems.
  • Strong ability to comply with safety policies as a leader in safety
  • Knowledge of power plant systems: turbines, boilers, pumps, and electrical control systems.
  • Strong technical skills with instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Ability to operate industrial equipment (forklifts, hand/power tools)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work individually and as a team member
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to perform duties safely with minimal supervision and seek guidance when necessary.
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
  • Ability to read and understand plant Process & Instrumentation Diagrams as well as detailed instrument/control and electrical drawings and documentation.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7/365 environment and in extreme weather conditions
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ directly related experience in a large industrial facility or power generating facility.
  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license, or the ability to convert within 30 days for those with an out of state driver’s license that are an Oklahoma resident.
  • Must be able to walk, climb stairs, crawl, work from ladders and elevated platforms.
  • Must not have a fear of heights, confined spaces, or working around high voltage equipment.
  • Ability to lift, move, and carry weights of up to 50 lb. on an irregular basis.
  • Must possess mental, visual, and auditory acuity for attention to visual and auditory detail.
  • Manual dexterity is required for operation of test equipment, small tools, and the installation, adjustment, and repair of control devices.
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, summer and winter.
  • Must be able to work odd hours and rotating shifts, where applicable.
