About The Position

In the Techician II Shipping role, you will assemble, wire, and modify components according to established guidelines for medium- and high‑voltage indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and related sub‑assemblies as well as operate a powered industrial truck. Follow manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, and written or verbal instructions from supervisors or team leads in accordance with established procedures. Complete ISO, quality, customer, and production checklists, along with feedback forms, for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering as required. Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wiring operations as needed. Regularly lift and assemble heavy copper components. Report Kanban inventory shortages to the appropriate operators. Inspect assemblies for missing or loose hardware and ensure overall cleanliness. Respond to change notices, customer‑requested adjustments, and development updates. Support engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer‑driven development work. Train and coach colleagues to support knowledge transfer and skill development. Operate powered industrial trucks (forklift, etc). Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with hand and pneumatic (air) tools.
  • Experience with forklift operation

  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs.
  • Utilize various hand and power tools, step ladder and crane to assemble and verify quality in a Lean environment.
  • Must be able to use standard computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook/Teams and job specific programs such as ENOVIA.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of industrial manufacturing experience
  • South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent
