About The Position

The Technician I plays a critical role in supporting the manufacturing operations by ensuring the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. This position focuses on applying industrial electrician expertise to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues that may impact production efficiency and safety. The Technician I collaborates closely with engineering and production teams to maintain optimal functionality of machinery and minimize downtime. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential electrical hazards and implementing preventive measures. Ultimately, the Technician I contributes to sustaining a safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing environment through skilled electrical support.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an industrial electrician apprenticeship or equivalent technical training.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and industrial machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Valid electrical certification or license as required by local regulations.

• Associate degree or technical diploma in electrical technology or related field.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems and industrial machinery to ensure operational reliability.
• Diagnose electrical malfunctions using appropriate testing devices and tools, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support equipment installation, upgrades, and modifications.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to support compliance and operational tracking.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory standards to promote a safe working environment.
