The MEP Technician I assists and supports the electrical, plumbing, HVAC/mechanical teams with their day to day job functions and has the ability to perform the following duties under the supervision of the level II & III MEP Technicians, Electricians and Facilities Trades Supervisor. Responsibilities Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines. Installation of electrical distribution system from primary to secondary under supervision , to include conduit and wiring for newly installed machines and equipment such as HVAC equipment, lighting panel boards, distribution panel boards, and lighting controls as well as HVAC controls, under the direction of Electricians.Assist in diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables. Assist journey level electricians with testing malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other MEP Technicians in regards to HVAC and plumbing functions. Replaces faulty electrical components of machinery such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions electrical sensing devices. Assist with HVAC/R, installing and troubleshooting repairing, rebuilding commercial HVAC equipment and refrigeration systems. Maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and controls up to 480 volt/AC, including motors, controls, magnetic starters, variable frequency drives, transformers, relays, circuit breakers, and DDC components. Assist with maintaining, adjusting and making minor repairs to elevator systems. Keeps daily logs and records of all maintenance functions. Assist with opening valves on equipment such as compressors, pumps, and condensers to prepare system for operation and starts equipment and auxiliary machinery. Assist with adjusting controls to isolate and clear broken lines for repair or shut down equipment. Repacks pumps and compressors, cleans condensers, and replaces worn or defective parts. Assist with inspecting, repairing, installing, modifying and maintaining plumbing fixtures in heating, water and drainage systems. Assist with identifying electrical, HVAC, plumbing and safety problems applicable to the installation and takes necessary corrective action. Assist with assembling and installing valves, pipe fittings and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass, and lead, and nonmetals, such as glass, vitrified clay and plastic.
