About The Position

The Health Screener Technician works under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Student Health Services as a screening technician to provide health screenings for students ECE through grade 12. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED is required
The ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance
Ability to interact positively with students, health service staff, teachers and others
Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with district and school leaders, staff, parents and students
Work collaboratively with others on a team
Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing

Nice To Haves

Associate's Degree in Health Care, Education or a related field is preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct health screenings on students using appropriate procedures and equipment
Enter and maintain appropriate documentation of screening results in student health records
Create and disseminate lists of students in need of additional follow up
Act as a liaison to school nurses and other school staff to support the screening process
Work collaboratively as part of the screening team
Perform other duties as assigned
