About The Position

Facilities Technicians are responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and presentable facility at each Bouldering Project location. They are key to ensuring that the physical environment meets the high-quality standards expected by our members and guests. The technician works closely with the Facilities Manager and teammates to complete daily tasks related to cleanliness, minor maintenance, and customer service.

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, cleaning, and operating equipment
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to follow procedures and safety standards

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in cleaning, facilities maintenance, or customer service
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Specialized Climbing Area Maintenance: Execute hands-on repairs critical to gym safety, including gluing and bonding foam pads in the climbing area and performing tarp/vinyl repairs.
• General Maintenance: Completing tasks throughout the gym including but not limited to basic electrical, basic HVAC, basic plumbing, drywall/finishes, climbing pad repair, basic IT troubleshooting, etc.
• Core Cleaning: Perform regular cleaning duties including vacuuming mats, window cleaning, mopping floors, and sanitizing restrooms and fitness equipment.
• Facility Upkeep: Maintain a clean and organized facility and retail space; conduct regular safety and bathroom walkthroughs to resolve immediate needs.
• Technical Tasks: Support facility health by conducting HVAC filter swaps and other routine preventative maintenance.
• Operations Support: Assist with opening and closing procedures for cleaning and maintenance; clean exterior grounds as necessary.
• Safety & Reporting: Respond to accidents and incidents following BP safety protocols; complete incident reports accurately and promptly.
