Standard Fabrication – Utilize machinery to customize fabric belts (measuring, cutting, pressing) to customer specifications. Special Fabrication – Utilize machinery to customize fabric belts (perforations, v-guides, flex cutting) to customer specifications.  Automated Fabrication – Utilize multiple automated machines to customize fabric belts to customer specifications. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must be cleared on any background screening
  • English literacy
  • Ability to use a calculator and a tape measure.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Ability to use calculator and tape measure (required)
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English (required)
  • English proficiency required
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting; manual dexterity to use tools and machines
  • Frequent lifting up to 20 lbs; occasional lifting up to 60 lbs with assistance
  • Visual acuity for inspections and machine monitoring
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations
  • PPE required: safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe footwear

Nice To Haves

  • Computer skills a plus
  • Previous experience as a lead (preferred)
  • Intermediate computer skills (preferred)
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate fabrication equipment

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual quality inspections before, during, and after job completion to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Measure workpiece dimensions to assess conformance to requirements.
  • Operate and maintain fabrication machinery and equipment; perform adjustments and minor maintenance as needed.
  • Load and unload materials, stock designated work areas, and stage parts for processing.
  • Read job specifications and follow documented work instructions; highlight and escalate inaccuracies.
  • Use computer systems to retrieve work instructions and locate parts.
  • Set stops or guides using scales, rules, or templates.
  • Observe machine operation to identify defects or malfunctions.
  • Complete assigned work orders from start to finish; sign off upon inspection and task completion.
  • Train and guide team members on processes, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate daily order processing, department organization, and associate direction.
  • Address technical questions and provide assistance to associates.
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for RMAs.
  • Lead daily safety audits and track delivery metrics to ensure On-Time Delivery.
  • Lead and support LDMI (Lean Daily Management) activities.
  • Maintain productivity while leading department operations.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
