About The Position

Performs a variety of routine maintenance duties for the Engineering Department. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Provides friendly, fast, and helpful guest service to all guests and team members. Repairs equipment as necessary and replace broken equipment as needed through the property. Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times. Possesses basic knowledge of electricity and electrical components; assists in basic trouble-shooting and repair of all electrical equipment. Possesses basic knowledge of plumbing and plumbing fixtures and repairs; assists in basic trouble shooting and repair of all plumbing fixtures. Possesses basic knowledge of carpentry and woodworking; assists in repair and fabrication of woodworking related issues including, but not limited to furniture repair. Performs any job needed for the repair and maintenance of the property as it relates to the daily function of keeping the property sufficiently safe and operational. Operates lifts and basic facilities equipment, including but not limited to, hand tools, grinders, power saws, soldering equipment and drills and drill presses. Performs all work in a consistently safe manner, including the use of personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to, safety gloves, ear protection, and eye protection, safety vests, proper safe use of ladders and basic tools, and chemicals. Be cognizant of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, MSDS requirements, BBP expectations, PPE requirements and report all safety hazards. Responds to all maintenance needs as requested by other departments, including, but not limited to, ensuring that all equipment utilized in all aspects of facilities are functioning properly. Regularly tests water to ensure proper chlorination, pH and alkalinity. Ensure proper handling of pool chemicals, including the use of personal protective equipment, proper hazard communication labeling and maintenance of MSDS documentation. Maintains pool filtration system by emptying skimmer and pump baskets on a regular basis. Back wash pump and replenish DE on a monthly basis. Replaces or repairs pool and spa jets, pipes, fittings, drains, flush valves, and shut off valves. Repairs broken pool tile as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in general maintenance, electrical and mechanical experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of chemicals, maintenance tools, basic plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, lifts and assorted equipment preferred.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as hand and power tools and emergency equipment.
  • Good oral communication skills, able to follow directions, and have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively over hand held radios.
  • Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one to two years of maintenance or repair experience.
  • Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to a wide variety of audiences, such as guests, coworkers, and members of leadership.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to apply regulatory and procedural doctrine, concepts and policy to practical situations.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
