Position Summary The Electrical Technician will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment/systems for refrigerated cases.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or GED
  • Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code
  • Electrical certification preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical theory and installation techniques
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
  • Ability to work independently within a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to skillfully and safely operate job specific tools and equipment
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of electrical experience as an electrical apprentice, technician or equivalent
  • Work environment and working conditions are reflective of a light manufacturing setting.
  • Perform work on concrete floors for duration of shift.
  • Will be working with electrical parts and electricity.
  • Must be able to lift and move (push, pull, carry) items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to raise arms above shoulders regularly and freely rotate arms/shoulders to lift/move parts.
  • Must be able to kneel, crouch, stoop, bend and squat when needed.
  • Work will include repetitive hand, arm, wrist, and leg motion.
  • Will need hand and finger flexibility and dexterity and excellent eyesight with or without corrective lenses.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical certification preferred
  • Experience in a light manufacturing setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Use job specific tools and equipment to wire refrigerated cases as per specifications
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and replace malfunctioning electrical devices and equipment as needed.
  • Conduct preventative electrical maintenance of systems.
  • Properly label system components.
  • Inspect and test system operation of newly installed electrical systems.
  • Assemble new electrical components and equipment
