About The Position

The Technician/Crane Operator will perform timely quality control inspections and functionality checks on all Tadano equipment as directed by the supervisor. Conduct product orientation on and off site, and, where needed, carry out repairs and updates as per instruction.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience operating and maintaining machinery in an industrial crane environment.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, forklift operator certification, and a current TWIC card are required.
  • Candidates should be proficient in reading hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematics and demonstrate strong knowledge of rigging and hand signals, either through certification or equivalent experience.
  • This position requires extensive travel, with more than 75% of time spent on the road.

Nice To Haves

  • An NCCCO Certification (TLL) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs assembly and disassembly, arrival inspections, pre-delivery inspections, and functionality checks in accordance with standard industry practices, specifications and factory guidelines.
  • Assist with loading the legal loads onto trailers during collection.
  • Completes repairs, software updates, and modifications as required.
  • Performs all operator level maintenance on TAC inventory; assisting in the workshop as required, ensuring an orderly, safe, and efficient work environment is maintained.
  • Maintains accountability for all assigned TAC property, ensuring its function and serviceability.
  • Conducts operator familiarization and demonstrations to customers, end users and distributors at locations nationwide. Providing technical know-how and safe operational techniques.
  • Ensures all reporting procedures are followed with regard to time, quality, work orders, and expense. Completing them accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Call Center team on occasion by providing technical direction, guidance, and support to customers, end-users, and distributors via phones/email.
  • Ability to Read, understand and use the manufacturer provided operator manuals and technical publications – in order to assimilate and answer questions relating to the product.
  • Assist with trade shows, both in the setting up and display support.
