About The Position

At Pilgrim’s, Safety Is A Condition, which means the safety of our team members comes first - always. The Technician Broiler provides operational and logistical support to the broiler service team by assisting with chick placements, pre ‑ placement preparation, field data collection, and product delivery. This role is designed for a highly reliable, self ‑ directed individual and serves as a developmental pipeline for future Service Technician roles.

Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Current driver's license and good driving record.
  • 1 - 2 years of directly related experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; MTech experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, both written and verbal.
  • Quick learner of Company protocols/programs and adaptable to change.
  • Solid math and analytical abilities for problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Reliable and ethical, with a strong work ethic and punctuality.
  • Team-oriented and self-motivated, able to thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more

Nice To Haves

  • MTech experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with chick placements by coordinating directly with the chick truck driver and ensuring presence at each scheduled placement
  • Dump chicks during placements in accordance with animal welfare and company standards
  • Support Service Technicians during placements, allowing greater focus on water access, chick quality, feed availability, and overall placement conditions
  • Assist with collecting 7 ‑ day and 14 ‑ day bird weights in the field
  • Support accurate data collection and timely reporting to Service Technicians
  • Assist with inventory management of supplies and products
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support broiler operations
