About The Position

Miller Poultry – Broiler Technician Job Purpose Supervise and work with a diverse group of contract broiler producers to ensure each flock is properly cared for in accordance with Miller Poultry’s management guidelines. Represent Miller Poultry in a positive and professional manner.

Responsibilities

Drive continuous premise improvement.
Educate and train producers on poultry husbandry programs.
Contribute to ongoing improvements of company programs.
Maintain flock records and documentation.
Conduct regular premise visits, record observations, recommendations, and communications in service reports.
Monitor flock health and coordinate corrective actions with growers.
Educate growers on biosecurity, farm safety, and recordkeeping.
Ensure continuous flock performance and compliance with animal welfare standards.
Troubleshoot equipment and production issues.
Provide support and service to contract growers, act as liaison between growers and the organization.
Coordinate chick placement, catch times, and feed withdrawal schedules.
Evaluate grower performance and provide technical assistance.
Estimate weights and head counts.
Coordinate feed deliveries.
Collect blood samples and perform necropsies when necessary.
Manage manure and litter programs.
