Training involves online classroom instruction and comprehensive hands-on experience in the field with experienced industry experts in home installation of broadband services and WiFi networks. This includes learning about power tools, cable and telecom equipment, meters and apps, computers and software, pole and ladder skills, and safety. Shentel provides the necessary gear. There are opportunities for growth and advancement, with many Field Operations supervisors and managers having started as Field Techs, providing support and guidance for career progression.
