About The Position

In the role of Technician - Brewing working in Golden, CO, is responsible for several functions within the area – control and monitor all brewhouse operations with DeltaV control system, manage filter presses, perform manual kettle additions, execute equipment CIPs, and manage adjunct inventory. Safety tasks are a requirement performing these tasks. Quality, hygiene, housekeeping and other GMP activities are also an expectation when working in the area. Shift: 4x4 12hrs, nights This position reports to the Line Lead - Brewing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Demonstrated understanding of flow, volume control in a closed system or experience in a food/beverage plant or other production environment.
  • Must have an excellent safety record and be able to regularly lift over 50 lbs. The position also requires frequent bending/crouching.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft office applications and have capability to learn several different computer applications, inventory tracking system, Excel, and Delta V.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production upsets and issues and escalates appropriately.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • GMP manufacturing knowledge and willingness to learn and support operator-based maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Filter press operation that includes shifting & scraping between brews and performing CIPs when scheduled
  • Preparing material for kettle additions and ensuring they are added per the recipe
  • Monitor and control the brewhouse processes using DeltaV from malt storage to cold wort sent to Fermenting.
  • Managing liquid adjuncts to meet the demands of the production schedule. This includes working outside.
