About The Position

We are currently looking for a Technician 3 to join our team in Stanfield, AZ. We’re currently looking for a self-motivated individual seeking a challenging opportunity to test and validate the future of driving by supporting our Instrumentation/Calibration team in the Chassis Performance group at Nissan’s Arizona Test Center in Stanfield, AZ. The Instrumentation/Calibration department is responsible for the calibration, maintenance and warehousing of all instruments and sensors used at the proving grounds. Job functions include but are not limited to: Perform calibration of instruments : Utilize industry standard and in-house developed equipment to validate instrumentation performance and perform calibrations. Management of calibration documents : Create and maintain documentation related to the calibration of instruments. Management of outsourced calibration and repair : For instruments that are not calibrated or repaired at our facility, manage the process of returning instruments to manufacturers. Manage instrumentation inventory and tracking usage : Maintain instrumentation inventory database and provide management monthly reports Repair/build cables and instruments : As needed, create and repair cables, devices and instrumentation Support test technicians with instrumentation related issues and special projects : Provide instrument related technical support to test technicians and engineers

Requirements

  • Must be self-motivated to learn, perform and grow in a dynamic team environment
  • must have good communication and interpersonal skill appropriate to cross cultural/cross functional work environment
  • must be willing to work overtime and be a team player
  • must be able to self-manage deadlines
  • Use of the Microsoft Office suite required
  • Electronics/Electrical circuits and Measurement Instrument experience preferred
  • High school diploma / GED required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Occasional domestic travel required
  • Overtime required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior automotive technician experience preferred
  • Instrumentation/calibration and/or Dynamic vehicle test experience preferred
  • advanced technical training in automotive field, electrical test, or instrumentation preferred (e.g., UTI, etc)
