About The Position

Responsible for providing excellent customer service to the Production department. Work on all mechanical and electrical malfunctions of the packaging machine. Support the machine operators (PMO) in maintaining and improving packaging machine efficiencies. Help out in the development of equipment and process improvements that can contribute to the overall success of the company. Requirements

• Must have at least 3 years of machine operator experience or 3 years of Maintenance mechanical or electrical knowledge.
• Mechanical aptitude

• Prolonged standing, stooping, and bending.
• May be required to occasionally lift up to 80 lbs, promote the buddy system when needed.
• Should have good hand coordination and good eyesight.
• Be able to withstand cold and wet environments.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift Certified is helpful but not required at time of hiring.
• Basic Electrical training and safety is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repair of the packaging machinery.
• Responsible for the mechanical logic and basic electrical issues that may arise during production and on weekend PM completion.
• Must be able to help out (PMO) operators in improving production efficiencies.
• Is responsible for the basic issues with machinery and if the issue is complex, they must call for assistance in order to obtain the quickest and most cost-effective solution to the issue.
