About The Position

Luna Innovations is hiring a Document Control Specialist & Technical Writer to join our Quality team in Chino, California. You’ll own the documentation behind some of the most advanced optical test and measurement instruments in the industry—the platforms our customers use to characterize photonic integrated circuits, validate high-speed transceivers, and qualify the components going into next-generation optical networks. Photonics is in a growth cycle unlike anything the industry has seen. The buildout of AI datacenters, the shift to co-packaged optics, and the rise of silicon photonics are all driving demand for precision test and measurement solutions—and Luna is delivering them. This role puts you at the center of that momentum, working alongside the engineers and scientists developing optical communications test platforms, terahertz measurement systems, and fiber optic sensing products that are shaping the future of the industry. WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS When you’re building test instruments that measure optical performance down to fractions of a decibel—or characterization platforms for photonic ICs operating at the edge of what’s physically possible—documentation isn’t paperwork, it’s part of the product. Every user guide, every procedure, every specification you manage and write will have a direct line to the quality and accuracy of the instruments our customers depend on. You’ll work with engineers, scientists, and quality professionals who are passionate about what they do, and you’ll see your contributions reflected in products shipped to the world’s leading optical communications companies, semiconductor fabs, and research labs.
