About the position

The Technical Writer will support a multi-year Federal project for the US Homeland Security program, focusing on documentation related to passenger screening safety. This role involves creating and updating technical documents, policies, and procedures, with some remote work options available.

Responsibilities

  • Provide product, program, and technical development documentation support related to deliverables generated by operation teams.
  • Review existing documentation and identify documents impacted by updated processes.
  • Manage the update, business review, and approval of documentation.
  • Write technical policies and procedures, including visual representations like diagrams using Visio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience writing technical documents.
  • Ability to write technical policies and procedures.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Eligibility for a Secret Clearance as per Federal Government contract.

Nice-to-haves

  • ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP).
  • Experience writing policies and procedures related to cloud technologies like Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience with process improvement and design.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
