The Technical Writer Intern will support the Organizational Development team by contributing to high-impact projects that enhance internal communications, training programs, and strategic initiatives. This role involves working directly with the Vice President of Organizational Development and collaborating with cross-functional teams to produce precise, engaging, and user-friendly documentation. Specific tasks include creating and refining internal documentation, developing training materials, and making process guides.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and refine internal documentation, training materials, and process guides.
  • Write and edit various materials, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, technical specifications, and online help content.
  • Translate complex procedures and concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content for diverse internal audiences.
  • Assist in developing onboarding materials, leadership development content, and employee resources.
  • Analyze existing documentation and test products to ensure the accuracy and completeness of content.
  • Incorporate diagrams, screenshots, and other graphics to improve user comprehension.
  • Handle version control, track revisions, and contribute to developing and maintaining documentation standards and style guide.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to simplify technical or procedural information for non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and SharePoint.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive continuous improvement.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in technical writing, instructional design, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience working in operations, organizational development, or process improvement environments is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with knowledge management systems and Microsoft Office 365 is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with visual communication tools (e.g., Infographics, Canva, Visio).
