About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or technical equivalent in Journalism, Science Writing, English, Technical Communication, or Graphic Arts.
• 3-5 years of experience in technical writing or a related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of proper power tool use and safety.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
• Ability to evaluate priorities and adjust to changing deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in CAD programs.
• Understanding of programs such as Corel Draw, ProEngineer, TeamCenter, NX (UG), and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Write and layout concise, highly structured instructions of medium to high complexity, directed toward a specific audience.
• Maintain electronic files for domestic and international product literature, including manuals, on-product labels, service parts lists, service wiring diagrams, repair manuals, service instructions, and calibration manuals.
• Research and organize technical data, working closely with Engineering, Service, Regulatory, Safety, Liability, and Marketing Departments.
• Document changes to existing literature or the release of new literature.
• Maintain Technical Publications databases used by internal and external customers.
