The Technical Writer/Editor develops, writes, and edits technical documentation to support contract requirements and project deliverables. This role ensures clarity, accuracy, and compliance of documentation across proposals, reports, system specifications, and user materials. The position collaborates with technical specialists and project management to produce high-quality deliverables aligned with regulatory and contractual standards. Requirements

  • Approximately four (4) years of experience in technical writing, editing, or related field.
  • Experience producing documentation in compliance with contractual or regulatory requirements.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear written material.
  • Proficiency in document development tools and editing software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical teams.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Business, or related field required;OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Related industry certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit technical documents including business proposals, reports, user manuals, briefings, presentations, functional descriptions, system specifications, and guidelines.
  • Develop outlines and draft documents for review and approval by technical specialists and project management.
  • Ensure final documents comply with applicable contract requirements and regulations.
  • Research and gather technical and background information for inclusion in project documentation.
  • Consult relevant information sources, including library resources, technical documentation, financial records, and project personnel.
  • Verify compliance with governing guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Edit content for clarity, structure, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Support preparation of formal project deliverables and special reports.
  • Coordinate revisions and version control activities.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with organizational and customer standards.
