About The Position

The TYM Technical Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating technical training programs to dealership service technicians, parts specialists, and other identified personnel. The primary goal is to provide dealership staff with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively maintain, diagnose, and repair tractors and other related machinery produced by TYM. This position requires both in-person and remote training delivery and will focus on key technical aspects, including new product launches, diagnostics, and advanced repair techniques.

Requirements

  • Dealer Operations: Complete understanding of dealer operations including whole-good sales, parts operations, service operations, warranty, parts counter operations, outside parts sales and dealer absorption rates.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of tractor mechanics, hydraulics, electrical systems, diagnostics, and troubleshooting. Proficient with OEM diagnostic tools and software.
  • Training and Presentation Skills: Ability to effectively convey technical information to technicians and dealership staff in both classroom and hands-on environments. Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly explain technical concepts and provide feedback.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and solve complex technical issues. Ability to simplify complicated systems and processes for learners.
  • Instructional Design: Experience in creating structured, engaging, and interactive training programs, with the ability to adapt materials for different skill levels.
  • Customer Service: A customer-focused attitude, with the ability to build strong relationships with dealers and service managers to ensure their training needs are met.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic software, special tools and technical manuals for troubleshooting and repair guidance.
  • Familiarity with tractor systems including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and GPS-enabled equipment.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating training materials and reports. Experience with e-learning platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%-75% of the time for on-site training sessions, dealership visits, and field support.
  • Language Proficiency: English fluency required; Korean is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Training Delivery: Develop, communicate and conduct instructor-led and virtual training sessions on tractor systems, diagnostics, repair techniques, and new product technologies. Ensure that training materials meet TYM standards and are aligned with the latest industry advancements.
  • Curriculum Development: Create and update technical training programs, materials, and assessments based on new product launches, changes in technology, and feedback from dealership staff. Continuously improve the content to ensure relevancy and effectiveness.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest tractor technologies, systems, and diagnostic tools. Act as a technical expert and resource for dealers and internal teams when addressing complex service issues or providing troubleshooting support.
  • Training Assessments: Evaluate the progress of trainees through written tests, practical demonstrations, and hands-on assessments. Provide constructive feedback to improve their skills and ensure certification standards are met.
  • Field Support: Provide on-site technical assistance to dealerships and service centers as needed. Help resolve escalated service and repair issues, and provide technical training tailored to specific dealership needs.
  • Dealer Relations: Collaborate with dealerships to understand their training needs and provide recommendations on how to optimize technician skills and service capabilities. Ensure dealers are knowledgeable about new products and service best practices.
  • Training Tools & Equipment: Maintain and manage training tools, equipment, and software to ensure a seamless learning experience. Ensure all tools and equipment used in training meet TYM specifications.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of all training sessions, including participant attendance, test scores, and certification completions. Provide regular reports to the management team on training progress, areas for improvement, and trainee performance.
