About The Position

We are a NYC based healthcare organization with ambulatory care facilities staffed with a wide range of health professionals to provide extensive medical and diagnostic services. We are looking for a Technical Trainer who can deliver training on clinical applications to staff and translate complex clinical and technical information into clear communication. This role will require collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Please note this role is based at our main office in Midtown but may require travel to our health centers in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of EMR systems and clinical workflows
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information
  • Experience delivering in-person training and developing training materials
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across teams

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in healthcare training, clinical informatics, or a related field
  • Technical training and professional writing experience
  • Extensive EMR knowledge with hands-on experience supporting clinical end users
  • Healthcare IT experience demonstrating strong understanding of clinical workflows, procedures, and tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Deliver customized, in-person training sessions using adult learning principles
  • Develop, update, and maintain training materials such as manuals, quick reference guides, job aids, and e-learning resources
  • Assist in designing and improving training curricula based on clinical roles and workflow needs
  • Translate complex technical and clinical concepts into clear and user-friendly communication
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to gather feedback and document training needs related to EMR functionality and workflow enhancements
  • Partner with health center staff and clinical applications teams to support new initiatives and ensure training aligns with strategic objectives
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and support continuous improvement in training delivery and content
