What You Will Do: deliver in-person or virtual training to groups of 10 or more; develop, and maintain proficiency in required technical skills including electronics, torque, safety-wire, and solder; follow all internal processes, delivering engaging learning content with a focus on training standards; collaboratively work with a variety of cross-functional teams to resolve sometimes complex and conflicting priorities; manage effective partnerships with customers, peers and senior leaders while performing all tasks related to training delivery; participate in or, lead project teams responsible for the creation, maintenance, or revision of training materials; provide subject matter expertise on solder-related questions to factory personnel.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations or, 8 years equivalent military experience with emphasis on technical instruction.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • IPC certified instructor in the following:
  • IPC J-STD-001 Standard for Soldering - within 90 days of hire
  • IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies - within 180 days of hire
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 | Wiring Harness Manufacturer’s Association - within 180 days of hire
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 Space Addendum - within 180 days of hire
  • IPC 7711/7721 – Rework, Modification, and Repair of Electronic Assemblies - within 12 months of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching solder, electronics, torque, safety wire, or other technical skills.
  • Experience working independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment.
  • Experience teaching to groups of 12 or more people
  • Solid understanding of adult learning theory.
  • Excellent management skills.
  • IPC Solder Certified.
  • Prior experience working with an LMS
  • Active DoD clearance
  • IPC J-STD qualified instructor
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
