About The Position

Fast Enterprises is a provider of essential software and services for citizens and government. In 1998, we changed the way government revenue agencies support their business with the introduction of GenTax®. We have expanded beyond Tax and now also perform implementations for Motor Vehicle, Driver License, Unemployment Insurance, and Child Support Engagement agencies. Much of the work at FAST happens on our client sites as part of our product implementations. Individuals who understand the technical aspects of system implementation as well as the business needs of our clients fill these positions. Employees participate in the full project lifecycle, from requirements-gathering through production support. Technical Team Members should have strong technical and communication skills, enabling them to interact with clients and detail system functionality. All candidates should be flexible in regard to work location and comfortable working on site with clients.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Engineering (graduates from all areas of study with technical training or experience will be considered)
3.0 minimum GPA
VB.NET, C#, or equivalent development language experience
Open to relocation

Structured Query Language (SQL) experience

Strong writing and communication skills

Responsibilities

Provide technical representation on a project team from definition through delivery and continuing via ongoing support
Support Project Management in the definition and technical validation of project delivery schedules and plans
Ensure consistent and regular reviews of progress and escalation of any risks or deviations from the plan with recommendations and mitigation strategies, as appropriate
Network and server infrastructure specification and procurement
Setup, configure and maintain n-tier system environments, including web servers, application servers, and database servers
Application troubleshooting and issue remediation
Server optimization and performance tuning of code and SQL
Disaster recovery planning and implementation
Security design, compliance and review
On-call support when needed
