About The Position

The Dayforce Link transmission team is looking for a technical systems analyst to help create the industry’s next generation HR & Talent Development solutions. Citizenship Requirement for Canadian Candidates: Ability to obtain or currently possess Canadian Protected B security clearance is mandatory. Must possess 5+ years of residency in Canada. Applicant must be Canadian citizen and able to work Government of Canada and USA Government projects. As a technical systems analyst, you will work closely with Implementation and Development Leads to translate market requirements into detailed technical solutions and system designs that align with the product development strategy. You will join an energetic global team of Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Test Engineers, and QA where daily collaboration across these groups is a key part of our success. Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTPS, API-based transfers).
  • Experience with file transmission tools (e.g., Axway, GoAnywhere, Sterling Integrator, Mulesoft, or similar).
  • Familiarity with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) standards (X12, EDIFACT) and flat-file/CSV/XML/JSON structures.
  • Understanding of encryption methods (PGP, SSL/TLS, SSH) and digital certificates/key management.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (firewalls, DNS, IP, routing concepts) as they relate to file transmission.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting connectivity and transmission errors (timeouts, retries, failed handshakes).
  • Excellent communication skills to gather technical requirements and explain solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders ( cross collaboration)
  • Ability to collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to design and implement secure and reliable file transmission solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly diagnose issues and provide effective resolutions.
  • Experience managing on-boarding and implementation projects, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Proven ability to document processes, workflows, and configurations for both technical and business audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5 years of experience in file transmission, system integration, or implementation roles.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to document and model a system using UML or other modelling language
  • Xml file mapping
  • SQL
  • HCM or SaaS company experience in Implementation or Customer Success
  • Ability to obtain or currently possess Canadian Protected B security clearance is mandatory.
  • Must possess 5+ years of residency in Canada.
  • Applicant must be Canadian citizen and able to work Government of Canada and USA Government projects.
  • Disciplined self-starter, capable of working independently or in close collaboration within an agile development team

Responsibilities

  • Analyze new requirements, identify, and document any cross-team dependencies.
  • Work with partners and other development teams to define the technical solutions and interfaces required.
  • Document existing system components and architecture.
  • Act as a liaison between product management, development and support groups.
  • Review code and ensure alignment with architectural guidelines.
  • Provide leadership and expertise in the product domain.
  • Participate in feature design reviews and assist the product management team in understanding the impact and scope of requirements.
  • Develop requirements for implementation of new features in conjunction with the product manager and business analysts.
  • Contribute technical documentation to assist with the on-boarding of new employees.
  • Review product release notes and ensure the accuracy of any technical details.
  • Conduct systems testing and work with test engineers in the design / development of automation tests.
