About The Position

At Bridor, we blend the artistry of European baking with North American innovation to create exceptional breads and pastries enjoyed by leading hotels, restaurants, and retailers worldwide. As we expand into the U.S. with our new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City, we are seeking a Technical Supervisor to help lead our production operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for a technically driven professional who’s passionate about quality, process optimization, and developing high-performing teams. As the Technical Supervisor, you’ll ensure smooth daily production by combining strong technical know-how with team leadership. You’ll oversee key bakery processes — from mixing and proofing to baking, cooling, and packaging — while maintaining high standards for quality, efficiency, and food safety.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a food or bakery manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of production equipment (mixers, proofers, ovens, packaging lines)
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills in a fast-paced, multi-shift setting
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and data entry systems
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
  • Physical capability to lift up to 40 lbs, perform repetitive tasks, and work in varying temperature environments
  • High school diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support daily production activities, ensuring adherence to recipes, SOPs, and specifications
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance as needed
  • Adjust processes to maintain consistent product quality, yield, and throughput
  • Participate directly in production and be capable of covering multiple operational roles
  • Lead, train, and schedule production staff to ensure optimal coverage and performance
  • Build a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability on the production floor
  • Support performance evaluations, training, and coaching to drive skill development
  • Enforce GMPs, HACCP, and food safety standards
  • Partner with QA to reduce waste and improve consistency
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulatory requirements
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
  • Lead initiatives to optimize equipment utilization, reduce downtime, and improve efficiency
  • Support lean manufacturing and process improvement projects
