Technical Specialist / New Construction Trainer
About The Position
This position provides the opportunity to improve energy efficiency in new homes by teaching individuals about home energy, building science, and compliance programs such as ENERGY STAR. Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, the Technical Specialist/New Construction Trainer will deliver, and support the delivery of, residential training classes such as RESNET Rater Training, ENERGY STAR Certified Home, and ENERGY STAR Multifamily. This individual will also work on developing curriculum, creating presentations, providing technical assistance, and promoting program events and services by working with PSDs marketing department. This role also provides technical and QA support to the Provider Services division.
Requirements
- 3+ years related experience in building plan reviews, inspections, and/or design and construction.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proven oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in a variety of common software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, REM/Rate, Ekotrope, and PowerPoint.
