In this job, you'll be responsible for leading programs, continuous improvement and data governance activities for substation asset data as part of the Substation Master Data Team. The team is dedicated to managing and maintaining accurate, consistent, and organized technical master data for substation systems. Requirements

  • Seven or more years of experience providing technical support.
  • Experience defining data requirements and building analytical queries.
  • Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics or other relevant field of study.
  • Experience working with asset data, maintenance plans, work orders and/or repair notifications for substation equipment and/or high-voltage electrical equipment.
  • Experience working with asset data and associated data in SAP.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups and scripting.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).
  • Experience with SAS Analytics and Programming.
  • Lean Six Sigma or process improvement training and experience.
  • Ability to establish relationships with office-based and field-based teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to define data requirements and translates business questions into analytical queries
  • Develops new processes with the goals of increasing productivity, reducing risk of system failure, promoting efficiency in workflow, and meeting or exceeding key operational performance targets
  • Updates and revises technical manuals based on policies and procedures, manufacturer information, industry standards and best practices
  • Provides input into the definition and documentation of the technical delivery policy, process, standards and documentation templates, collaborating with the product development team on product design and upgrades
  • Supports substation in creating goals for bill of material processing, setting monthly targets with support from transmission and distribution
  • Delivers independent execution of established and emerging work processes and systems
  • Communicates status of projects and studies, assists with planning and scheduling, and ensures alignment of communications initiatives to meet business unit goals and overall strategy, including consistency in tone, message, and approach
  • Conducts data analysis to develop insights and identify trends from large datasets regarding substation package intake and processing
  • Lead major projects that have major financial or operational impact to the operating unit and/or company
  • Performs in-depth analysis, develops recommendations, and provides consulting to address customer and/or Company problems/issues which cross organizational boundaries and require thorough technical knowledge to resolve
