About The Position

The Technical Sales Representative is a trade-experienced sales professional responsible for estimating, pricing, and selling commercial work within their assigned trade. TSRs are accountable for meeting individual bid volume and margin goals while working collaboratively with Business Development and Account Management to convert opportunities into profitable projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5–8 years of hands-on experience in the applicable trade (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Sheet Metal, or related field).
  • Strong technical knowledge enabling accurate job scoping, pricing, and estimating.
  • Prior experience in estimating, sales, or project pricing within a commercial environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and job site conditions.
  • Proven ability to meet individual bid volume and margin goals.
  • Experience collaborating with business development and account management teams.
  • Proficiency with estimating and CRM tools (ServiceTitan preferred).
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Willingness to conduct and participate in job site visits as required.

Responsibilities

  • Meet individual monthly bid volume and margin performance targets.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates in ServiceTitan (ST) based on technical leads, BDR opportunities, and Account Manager referrals.
  • Conduct job site visits to assess scope, conditions, and technical requirements.
  • Participate in joint site visits with Business Development Representatives and Account Managers as needed.
  • Collaborate with BDRs and Account Managers on new and existing sales opportunities.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication regarding pricing, scope changes, and opportunity status.
  • Support the Assistant Sales Manager in maintaining estimate quality, consistency, and profitability.
  • Ensure timely turnaround of estimates to support sales cycle expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Commercial Sales organization, operational needs, and business objectives.
