It reduces engineering effort and system complexity while supporting multiple programming languages, extensive communication protocols, and easy scalability. The result is faster deployment, future-ready connectivity, and lower total cost of ownership for industrial automation solutions. The Technical Sales intern will assist with the following:

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to interpret technical concepts and translate them into business value statements

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in industrial automation, motion control, hydraulics, or electrification technologies
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and problem-solving mindset

Responsibilities

  • Support the sales team in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities within industrial automation and electrification markets
  • Assist with prospect research, account profiling, and CRM data entry to maintain accurate pipeline visibility
  • Prepare customer-facing materials including presentations, technical summaries, and value propositions
  • Coordinate with engineering and product management teams to gather technical specifications and solution details
  • Participate in customer meetings, discovery calls, and internal strategy sessions to gain exposure to consultative selling processes
  • Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and pricing benchmarks to support territory and account planning
  • Help develop quotations, proposals, and bid documentation in accordance with company standards
  • Track order status, delivery timelines, and customer communications to ensure high service levels
  • Contribute to lead generation campaigns, trade show preparation, and follow-up activities
  • Generate periodic sales performance reports and dashboards for leadership review
