PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Technical Sales Engineer acts as a key liaison between the technical and sales teams, leveraging deep product knowledge to support customer needs and drive revenue. This role involves identifying business opportunities, presenting technical solutions, and ensuring successful implementation and post-sales support. The ideal candidate combines engineering expertise with strong communication and sales skills to deliver tailored solutions that meet client requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn about pump products and applications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing process.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
  • Adept user of Microsoft Office Suite tools.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical support during the sales process.
  • Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and training to prospective and existing clients.
  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of company products, services, and industry trends.
  • Customize solutions to meet client needs and ensure successful implementation.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and engineering/product development teams.
  • Work closely with engineering, product development, quality, and operations teams to ensure accurate communication of product capabilities.
  • Provide technical advice to the sales team and customers regarding product specifications, applications, and troubleshooting.
  • Answer incoming inquiries (phone, email, portal, CRM, etc.) which could include the following: troubleshooting, installation questions, and technical issues.
  • Provide knowledgeable support and recommendations on products based on pump specifications, applications, and compatibility based on customer needs.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote products and gather market intelligence.
  • Provide post-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in KPI reporting, cross-training, 5S and other duties as assigned.
