About The Position

The Technical Records Specialist 1 position at Idaho State University involves providing a variety of records support functions, including reviewing and processing documents, determining and explaining compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and policies, and maintaining a manual or computerized records system. The successful candidate will support the Marketing and Recruitment Office within the College of Technology.

Requirements

  • Monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors.
  • Researching a variety of sources to resolve problems.
  • Interpreting, explaining and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments.
  • Entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system.

Nice To Haves

  • Some knowledge of medical terminology and the general benefits of Medicaid, Medicare and major insurance companies.
  • Experience working with sensitive or restricted data.

Responsibilities

  • Train on how to use ISU CRM system to provide necessary reports, data input, dashboard creation, and any necessary function to support student services and marketing and recruitment efforts.
  • Support CTE Transition Coordinator with dual credit student registrations and school reports.
  • Support Marketing and Recruitment office with telephones, customer service, and event support when necessary.
