For one of our ongoing projects we are looking for a Technical Project Manager to work from Durham, North Carolina.

  • Work closely with team to develop and maintain plans and schedules for projects and releases
  • Serve as a point of contact for all program activities, schedule, and status
  • Effectively communicate to stakeholders and project team members to ensure proper visibility into development efforts
  • Coordinate and lead team meetings
  • Perform overall process management like approvals and prioritization
  • Apply, develop, and improve both existing and new processes
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, trust, and accountability for departmental or cross-functional teams
  • 3-5 years of experience delivering technology-related services or offerings; open source experience is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with team members distributed across multiple countries and time zones
  • Advanced risk and change management skills
  • Advanced technical knowledge of and experience with software development
  • Ability to facilitate dynamic and effective virtual meetings over the phone and internet
  • Familiarity with different project management methodologies, tools, and defect tracking systems
  • Ability to work well within a team and bring different groups of people together to collaborate in a community setting
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Practical expertise in using and understanding of Linux based operating systems and related technologies is a plus
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (scrum and kanban)
