We are seeking a Technical Project Manager, responsible for providing action-oriented leadership to drive the delivery of our motion solutions. This position requires the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization, establish and execute to project schedules, clearly communicate project status, and manage project priorities and risks. At times and when the situation allows, you may travel to customer sites to gain a better understanding and drive success.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ industrial manufacturing experience, resulting in:
  • Technical experience and understanding
  • Design and development, and transfer to manufacture experience
  • Understanding manufacturing challenges (and solutions) and the environment
  • Experience working in cross-functional project or product development, demonstrating:
  • Development phase experience, including understanding and delivering on customer needs within the business context
  • The ability to be able to flexible on projects, recognizing their different needs and requirements
  • Flexibility and multi-project management
  • Responsive and quick thinking with superior problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated science and/or engineering aptitude.
  • Ability to interact with customers to ensure transparency in project deliverables/time frames.
  • Strong, collaborative leadership presence amongst peers and subordinates.
  • Structured, process-based approach and ability to get things done in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent, articulate verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a keen awareness of project requirements and deadlines.

  • Consumer technology, medical device, or consumer healthcare background, including experience with OEMs (in Life Sciences, SEMI, Metrology).

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects to the highest standards of quality and delivery, including: Ensuring the solution is delivered on time, within budget and meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Manage project related client contacts, including multi-stakeholder expectations of customer team and internal team, and alignment of Dover Motion project team with proposal and contract commitments.
  • Direct project team in day-to-day activities and provide program leadership.
  • Prepare detailed project schedules, expenditure estimates and resource plans.
  • Approve designs and design changes, conduct final review of all commercial commitments with the Senior Director, Commercial Operations.
  • Review and recommend proposal changes if achievement of deliverables is unlikely.
  • Assist in generating new proposals and work closely with business development and discipline leaders to set strategy and support conversion process.
