Requirements

  • 10+ years of recent professional experience as a Technical Project Manager.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in technology projects with demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional technical teams.
  • Software development experience with comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and ability to guide technical teams through all phases.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies and cloud architecture, with emphasis on cloud practitioner-level knowledge or certification.
  • Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements, particularly federal standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience overseeing quality assurance operations and resource management across multiple project teams.
  • Knowledge of application development processes and cloud deployment practices.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills with ability to coordinate multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities with proven stakeholder management experience.
  • Strong risk management capabilities including identification, assessment, and mitigation of project risks.
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA).
  • Ability to work with the federal government and be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Google Cloud Professional).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
  • Prior experience managing federal government technology projects.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
  • Background in cloud migration or modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with federal security frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST).
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Define and clarify project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional technical teams, ensuring seamless coordination across all workstreams.
  • Oversee security and compliance operations, ensuring adherence to federal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Direct quality assurance activities and resource management to ensure optimal testing coverage across project phases.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure technical solutions meet specifications and deployment requirements.
  • Manage comprehensive customer onboarding processes, including intake, technical assessments, and coordination with implementation teams.
  • Review and approve technical designs and validate system functioning.
  • Organize and facilitate training for users of implemented solutions.
  • Conduct regular stakeholder management, provide progress updates to leadership and partner teams on milestones, risks, and issue resolution.
  • Lead risk assessment and mitigation activities, facilitating cross-functional collaboration to identify, track, and resolve issues.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct post-project evaluation to assess the success of the project and identify areas for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
