As a Technical Project Manager , you are the primary point of contact responsible for guiding complex, custom automated packaging projects from sales handoff through installation and final acceptance. You don’t just track tasks—you align people, manage expectations, and ensure projects succeed in the real world. Your Impact Serve as the primary customer contact , building trust through proactive, transparent communication Translate customer requirements into clear scope, schedules, and execution plans Act as the communication hub across Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Assembly/Commissioning, Procurement, and Service Anticipate risks and drive solutions—not just updates Own project outcomes from kick‑off to a running machine at the customer site What You’ll Do Lead projects from kick‑off through FAT, SAT, installation, and final acceptance Own project planning, schedules, milestones, documentation, and cost tracking Collaborate with Sales to align customer expectations, scope, and change management Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver complex automated packaging systems Communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders Manage schedules, budgets, labor, and materials to achieve on‑time, on‑budget delivery Coordinate machine testing, debugging, pre‑FAT, FAT, customer inspections, and punch lists Lead change orders, clearly communicating scope, cost, and delivery impacts Run focused internal and customer meetings that move projects forward Conduct post‑project reviews and hand off projects to Customer Support Contribute to continuous improvement of project execution and communication Requirements What We’re Looking For 3+ years of project management experience in automation, packaging, or machine building 3+ years working with industrial or automated machinery Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Engineering preferred Strong technical foundation in mechanical and/or electrical systems Experience with high‑speed packaging equipment is a strong plus Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings (3D helpful) PMP certification is a plus Confident, proactive communicator with strong customer‑facing skills Collaborative leader who can drive results without formal authority Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed Benefits Why You’ll Enjoy Working Here We offer a competitive benefits package including, medical, dental, vision, plus 100% employer paid Family & Medical Leave, STD/LTD, and 401(k).
