About The Position

What you will do Johnson Controls invites you to apply for an internship located in Grand Rapids, ND. This internship is designed to provide you with a positive work/training experience and challenging objectives. You will be supporting initiatives across a number of engineering functions such as Project Management, Mechanical Engineering and contributions to the design, development, and testing of scalable software applications. Specific identified internship responsibilities are outlined below. How you will do it Support the Project Manager and Field Team. Work with experienced engineers to design, specify, bid and install new construction projects Read and write software code Learn how to install, inspect, commission and troubleshoot systems Assists in preparing project files and reports, customer presentations, and other customer communication documents as needed. Assists in development of customer baselines, benchmarks, and project scheduling reporting as needed. Support team in the preparation of mechanical/controls projects, development, and assist in Rollout and Support of new business opportunities. Contributes to asset/mechanic systems data collection, process or financial task calculations, and other operational performance engineering modeling during both design and execution management phases. What we look for Required Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Construction, Electrical, Computer Engineering or similar Technical proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft products Currently a sophomore or higher status 3.0 or better GPA U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. Preferred Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly and independently. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) preferred Ability to work effectively in a highly energetic environment Demonstrated problem solving skills required HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $21.00-$24.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Construction, Electrical, Computer Engineering or similar
  • Technical proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft products
  • Currently a sophomore or higher status
  • 3.0 or better GPA
