About The Position

We’re looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our Innovation Team - someone who thrives at the crossroads of product experimentation, carrier/telco innovation, AI-powered solutions, and customer feedback. This is not your typical PM role. You’ll be steering fast-moving initiatives, helping prototype the future, and turning raw insights into scalable product directions. This role requires a can-do attitude, a deeply technical thinker, a strong cross-functional communicator, and a pusher - someone who can sort the signal from the noise and knows when to push an idea forward or park it. Stepping into this very challenging role will mean stepping into a dynamic environment. There’ll be a steep learning curve, but we believe the future belongs to those who build it. Requirements

5 - 7 years of experience in technical project management or technical product owner, ideally in fast-moving SaaS environments.
3 - 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in agile environments.
Software engineering background required - you should be able to go deep enough to challenge technical assumptions and unblock conversations with software developers.
Hands-on experience working with software dev teams using Python, Node.js, React, and PHP.
Proven ability to lead agile development cycles, run scrums, manage backlog, and ship MVPs.
Exceptional communication skills - you can talk API with engineers, business impact with execs and value with customers.
Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration - you act as a connector between product, engineering, customers, and external partners.
Natural curiosity and a relentless drive to explore, prototype, and refine.
Adept at identifying the right skills to help with filtering ideas and feedback, separating what’s essential from what’s noise.
Remote, but Greater Los Angeles Metro Area preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as the connective tissue between software dev engineers, product managers, consultants, telco strategists, and customers to build and validate innovative ideas.
Manage projects that distill a constant stream of insights - customer insights, experimental feature insights, carrier updates, BI analyses, product feedback - into crisp problem definitions and opportunity assessments.
Help steer translation of ideas into clear product specs, epics, user stories, and agile artifacts to direct engineering teams across Python, Node.js, React, and PHP stacks.
Conversant with JIRA, Confluence, and other collaboration tools to run agile development cycles with engineering teams to plan, test, iterate, and deliver product experiments.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Carrier, and Customer facing teams to ensure alignment across technical feasibility and strategic direction.
Execute on the roadmap for innovation initiatives, balancing velocity with long-term value.
Communicate status updates, findings, and results to stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
Serve as a Team Lead for the Convoso Innovations team and manage the team structure, ways of working, and innovation development processes.
Work closely with our Chief Product Officer and co-founder to pilot early ideas and coordinate POC & MVP deliverables.
Serve as a trusted coordinator for business goals development and technical execution.
